Philippians 2:5-8
Philippians 2:5-8 (NIV)
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!”
When I read this verse the first thing I think of is that I need an attitude adjustment. It seems to me very easy to let my attitude become extremely self-focused. Jesus, however, lived His life with this amazing other-centeredness. In everything He said and did His love and grace and mercy were revealed. Help us all today God, to have the attitude of Christ Jesus in our lives.
