Matthew 16:25 NIV
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”

I believe we spend a lot of time trying to “save our lives”. The irony is, that the harder we try and save life, the more we never experience real life. It is a natural thing to have a self-focused outlook on life. However, in order to really experience life, we need to develop an other-focused outlook and that is a supernatural thing. It is only as we realize that life is found in living out the purpose and will of God for our lives that we will ever begin to experience the kind of life that all of us yearn for deep down. Our attempts at trying to find life and happiness always leave us feeling a little lost and empty.

I would encourage you to seek after Him with all your mind, heart, soul and strength. I would also encourage you to start every day by being thankful for at least five things. This simple practice will help you to establish and keep a God perspective about what really matters in life. Here is a little video I found that might help you remember to be thankful:
